In the summer months here in the Coachella Valley when temperatures rarely dip below 90 - 100 degrees, pool water left as is gets and stays over 90 - 95 degrees which is hardly refreshing. This product cools the water in those months by as much as 10 - 15 degrees, which does make the water and the pool experience refreshing when it's most wanted. Once we had our first image of the woman standing in the pool with arms extended in gratitude to the mountains, we moved on to show people enjoying being in a pool cooling off and relaxing. The ads ran in various magazines and the Desert Sun newspaper – we ran spreads, full pages, half pages, goal post ads, and a few other odd sizes. We got the word out, but the seasonal reality of this valley means that more people leave town during those months than those that stay – so the market simply wasn't there for this luxury item with a fairly healthy price of between $1,000 - $2,500 depending on the size of your pool.
